Tenor Ukulele Page 5
This is a new tenor sized ukulele that I completed in November of 2005. The top, back, and sides are made from extremely fiddleback curly Hawaiian koa. The fretboard is Indian rosewood with abalone fret markers and the bridge is a combination of rosewood and koa with an abalone inlay. Purfling on the top is abalone and all the body binding is figured lacewood. Enclosed gold plated Grover geared tuners with ebony buttons are fitted to the headstock. All my shell inlay is cut from solid materials. I use no laminated shell and I hand cut my own patterns. I do not use lasers. The headstock inlay is a one of a kind piece made with abalone, recon stone, black pearl, wood, and mother-of-pearl. I finish my instruments with a traditional nitrocellulose high gloss finish.
