Curly Koa Concert Ukulele- Sold 3/26/10
This is a newly completed curly koa concert size ukulele. Top, back, and sides are curly koa. The neck is Honduras mahogany. Both the fretboard and bridge are ebony. The body and neck are bound in Milo wood, a native Hawaiian wood. Abalone purfling on the top. Stylized, hand carved breadfruit (Ulu) leaves are on both sides of the neck heel by the body. All the abalone purfling on the top, the bridge decoration, the abalone rosette, the mother-of-pearl fretboard inlay and headstock logo are solid shell. No laminated shell was used. Gold plated Grover friction tuners with custom pearloid buttons. Very good quality tuners for a concert size ukulele. Nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Low action, and easy to play. Comes with a hardshell case.
