Welcome To Pegasus Guitars & Ukuleles

Updated 4/12/2021

Since you have found your way to my site, you must be an ukulele enthusiast. There are 2 sites you should visit. These sites differ significantly in their focus, but between the 2 you will find a wide inventory of custom, vintage, and production ukuleles. The site owners are also very well versed in everything ukulele, contemporary and historical. Very friendly service. Both are located in Honolulu, Hawaii. I have personally known each site holder for a number of years.

I do all my own work. For better ot worse, I do not use lasers or CNC tools to do things that can't be done by hand. I also do all my own finish work, never sending out the finishes to someone else.

I just received a new shipment of high quality hats with a nice embroidered Pegasus logo. Nice colors with a leather adjustable strap and brass clasp at the back. Unfortunately it was a bad day at the embroidery shop! They spelled "ukulele" wrong. What's done is done. I usually sell these on my site, in my shop, and at events for $15.00, but I don't feel I can rightfully sell these. I can't afford to send these out and pay for the shipping on top of the cost of the hats. Despite the spelling error, and few who are not from Hawaii will even detect it, these are nice hats. If you are interested, send $5 for shipping to Pegasus Guitars, P.O. Box 160, Kurtistown, Hawaii 96760 Available colors are teal, pink, plum, burandy, charcoalcactus, midnight, and purple.

"I just wanted to let you know that the uke arrived today safely. It is a stunning piece! But even more so the tone on this instrument is just awesome! Lots of nice punch on the low end with great clarity and it was just completed. I'm sure it'll sound even better as it gets settled in. That brazilian and red spruce combination is just killer and your work is top notch." Sept. 2018  S.Y.

Customer Comments Sept. 2015 " I really enjoy playing your tenor I bought from you last year. She's a beauty. The clarity is amazing, especially with PHD strings. I've played lots of ukes and nothing compares to yours sound-wise.  Your craftsmanship and skill are are tops! " H.J.
