Another aspect that I have done for years is providing access to parts for small builders.
Always exciting when the first coats of shellac go on the and the wood colors come to life. If all goes well, this instrument will be done in 30-40 days. However, I can't remember the last time everything went well during finishing, so it will probably take a bit longer!
